Tom Bergen is a partner with the firm in the Lancaster Office. He concentrates his practice in Estate, Business and Tax Planning, including sophisticated estate planning and mergers and acquisitions. Tom joined the firm in 2015.

Tom is a graduate of Lehigh University and Dickinson School of Law. Tom also completed a Master of Laws degree in Taxation at Temple University. Tom is a member of the bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania and Lancaster Bar Associations.

Tom specializes in business and succession planning including formation, mergers and acquisitions and entity terminations, as well as estate planning and tax-exempt organizations. He also focuses on structuring family interests in the Marcellus Shale gas play. Tom has over twenty-five years' experience in helping business and individual clients devise innovative and efficient methods for reaching their personal and business goals. Tom also advises a broad cross-section of charitable and community organizations including schools, churches, retirement communities, and scholarship foundations with respect to tax-exemption and fund raising issues.
