D. LYNNE FERGUSOND. Lynne Ferguson concentrates her practice in Real Estate Tax Sale Law utilizing a range of legal knowledge not only of tax sale law, but also municipal law, lien priority law, domestic law, real estate, corporations, guardianships, wills and estates and the creditor side of bankruptcy law. Lynne is a cum laude 1984 graduate of Wheaton College and a 1989 graduate of Dickinson School of Law. Following graduation, Lynne clerked for the Honorable Jon Walters, now deceased, of the Lebanon County Court of Common Pleas and then was an assistant public defender in Lancaster County. In 1992, Lynne joined the firm of Herr, Greer and Hoberg in Lancaster as a general practitioner which included the areas of domestic law, municipal law, tax sale law, contracts, guardianships, wills and estates, real estate, debtor/creditor law, zoning, the creditor side of bankruptcy law, lien priority law and was appointed as guardian ad litem in Children and Youth cases. Lynne practiced law with Herr, Greer and Hoberg until July 2004, when she left to attend seminary in order to become a chaplain. Lynne graduated from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 2008 with a Master of Divinity, winning academic prizes in Church History in 2005 and theology in 2008 and was named outstanding seminarian in 2005. During seminary, Lynne obtained chaplain experience at Hershey Medical Center, Lancaster General Hospital, Ephrata Cancer Center and Masonic Villages of Elizabethtown. In 2009/2010, Lynne completed a rigorous Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at Lancaster General Hospital now Lancaster General Health. Through this experience, Lynne learned that for her, full professional satisfaction included both the law and chaplaincy. In November 2010, Lynne became the weekend on-call chaplain for Lancaster Regional Medical Center and joined Nikolaus & Hohenadel, LLP in December 2010. Lynne is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Pennsylvania and Lancaster Bar Associations. |
